Tolland Man Arrested for Impersonating a Police Officer
On August 8, 2026, at approximately 1:51 p.m., Troopers assigned to Troop C in Tolland responded to Baxter Road to assist EMS with a medical call. While on scene, Troopers were approached by an individual later identified as Kurt Hoss, DOB 09/08/1967, of Tolland, who arrived driving a blue Mazda SUV equipped with visible red and blue flashing lights. Guilford Man Arrested for OUI, Reckless Driving, on I-395 in Montville
On 08/02/2026, at approximately 2:12 a.m., an on-duty Trooper was conducting traffic enforcement on I-395 between Exits 2 and 5, in Waterford when he observed a vehicle traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. The Trooper attempted to catch up with the vehicle; the Trooper determined that the accused vehicle was traveling at speeds of up to 100 MPH in a posted 65 MPH zone, only reducing its speed as it negotiated a curve at the Exit 5 ramp. Bridgeport Man Accused of Displaying Firearm on Route 25 in Trumbull
On 07/29/2026, at approximately 8:46 a.m., Troop G Troopers were dispatched to the area of Route 15 Southbound near Exit 30 in Westport for a reported gun-waving incident. Troop G Dispatch received a call indicating that the operator of a minivan had allegedly pointed a handgun at the complainant, who was operating an SUV. No injuries were reported.
