The Connecticut State Police Public Information Office of Media Relations is assigned to the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection. The office is responsible for providing the public timely and accurate information regarding the mission of the State Police and the Department’s law enforcement and crime prevention efforts, response to critical incidents, and public safety and security operations. We issue news releases, hold press conferences, provide spokespersons, and disseminate news through social media to ensure that the public is aware of our activities and services.

The Department is committed to fostering a relationship of mutual trust, cooperation and respect with the media and the public. The Office of Media Relations is also responsible for maintaining a comprehensive, integrated, web-based gateway to the State Police’s resources and activities.
