RI Man Charged Following June 2023 Griswold Fatal Accident

Cody Moorehead, DOB 12/18/93 was arrested on the strength of an active arrest warrant at Norwich Superior Court on 06/27/24 by personnel from Troop E-Montville. Moorehead was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Griswold on 6/26/23, which resulted in the death of the other operator involved. Moorehead was processed on the following charges:

CGS 53a-56b; Manslaughter in the Second Degree with a Motor Vehicle

CGS 29-38; Illegal Possession of a Weapon in a Motor Vehicle

CGS 14-227a; Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs

CGS 14-222; Reckless Driving

CGS 14-215; Operation of a Motor Vehicle While License is Suspended

CGS 14-230; Failure to Drive Right

CGS 14-236; Failure to Drive in Proper Lane
