Update- Driver Charged in Wallingford Fatal Accident

Denise Lucibello DOB 12/30/68 was positively identified as the operator of the vehicle involved in the fatal accident on the exit 13 on ramp to I-91 southbound in Wallingford this morning. On scene investigation revealed that Lucibello was exhibiting signs of impairment. Lucibello was subjected to Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and subsequently failed. Lucibello was arrested on site and transported to Troop I- Bethany for processing on the following charges:

CGS 14-215; Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License

CGS 14-227a; Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs

CGS 14-236; Failure to Drive in Proper Lane

CGS 14-283b(c); Failure to Slow Down/Move Over- Non Emergency Vehicle

CGS 53a-57; Misconduct with a Motor Vehicle

Lucibello is being held on a $1,000,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at New Haven Superior Court on 07/01/24. Please see attached accident/criminal information summaries.
