On December 20, 2024, Detectives from the Central District Major Crimes Squad were assigned to investigate numerous complaints regarding reckless motorcycle operation on various highways throughout Connecticut.

The motorcycle operation was taking place on an ongoing basis, and the operator regularly posted videos from a helmet mounted camera to their social media platforms. Through investigative steps, Detectives identified the operator as Brice Bennett (DOB 06/15/2002) of Bloomfield. Numerous search and seizure warrants were drafted for Bennett's social media platforms, confirming he was the operator recording the reckless operation. The videos depicted Bennett operating the motorcycle at speeds in excess of 190 mph.

Based on the findings, an arrest warrant was drafted and granted by Hartford Superior Court for Bennett's arrest.

On 04/08/2025, Detectives located Bennett and placed him under arrest without incident. Bennett was transported to Troop H for processing where he was charged with the following:

C.G.S. 14-222 - Reckless Driving

C.G.S. 14-236 - Failure to Maintain Lane

C.G.S. 53a-63 - Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree

Bennett was released from custody after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on 04/29/2025.
