Bridgeport Man Arrested for Displaying a Firearm During Road Rage Incident on Merritt Parkway in Stratford

On 02/13/2025, at approximately 3:44 PM, Troopers from Troop G - Bridgeport were notified of a road rage incident that occurred on Route 15 South in the area of Exit 52. The reporting party called 911 and explained that he and another male were involved in a road rage incident where the other male then displayed a firearm.


Troopers were able to make contact with the victim where the registration for the suspect vehicle was obtained. The victim explained that the road rage incident began after both vehicles were in traffic for nearly 30 minutes, and the suspect vehicle had cut him off several times. After speaking with the victim, Troopers identified the suspect vehicle to be a white Kia, which was registered to Steven Moore (DOB 12/23/1990) of Bridgeport.


Troopers made contact with Moore at his residence where he admitted to driving the Kia at the time of the incident. Further investigation revealed the discovery of a loaded Glock handgun inside the Kia which Moore was operating. The firearm along with its loaded magazine were seized as evidence in this investigation. Moore was arrested without incident and charged with the following:


C.G.S. 53a-61aa(a)(3)) - Threatening with a Firearm in the 1st Degree


C.G.S. 53a-181 - Breach of Peace in the Second Degree


Moore was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at the Bridgeport Superior Court on 03/06/2025.
