Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery in Mansfield

On Saturday 08/10/24 at approximately 12:05 PM, Troop C personnel were dispatched to the Citgo gas station at 9 Stafford Rd in Mansfield for a reported armed robbery. The suspect reportedly displayed a long barreled revolver, demanded all of the cash from the clerk and left on foot with approximately $700 in cash taken from the business. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5'8" tall, slender build, 20-30 years old, wearing a royal blue hoodie with Champion logo, black sweatpants, gloves and a surgical mask over his face. The suspect was last seen traveling south on RT 32 in the area of Pleasant Valley Rd. A K9 track led to Pleasant Valley Rd with negative findings. A witness described a grey colored Ford pickup, possibly a F-150 four door, with a loud exhaust leave the area at a high rate of speed in an unknown direction. Anyone who sees a person or vehicle matching this description should not approach or engage them, call 911 immediately and report your findings to police.
