On January 30, 2025, at approximately 7:20 PM, Ronni-Anne Cyr (DOB 04/26/2003) turned herself into Troop C - Tolland on an active arrest warrant. The warrant stemmed from an investigation beginning in September 2024 at a local business in the Town of Mansfield.
On September 9, 2024, Troopers from Troop C were dispatched to a local business located 86 Storrs Rd in the Town of Mansfield for report of a larceny. After speaking with the store's manager, Troopers learned that Ronni-Anne Cyr was employed by the store as a cashier. From July 29, 2024, to September 3, 2024, Cyr would check a customer out, and once they left the store, she would utilize the electronic receipt and refund the purchase amount to herself. Cyr refunded herself over $1,600 for purchases she did not make.
Cyr was processed at Troop C and charged with the following:
C.G.S. 53a-125a - Larceny in the Fifth Degree
C.G.S. 53a-125b - Larceny in the Sixth Degree (3 Counts)
Cyr was released on a $1,000 bond, awaiting a court date of 02/11/2025 at Rockville Superior Court.
