On June 1st, 2024, at approximately 1230 hours, a two-vehicle collision took place in the area of 1089 Hopeville Road in the Town of Griswold. The collision resulted in the death of Sean Patrick McGloin.
Through investigative efforts, Tyler W. Griggs (DOB 10/20/1997) was identified as the at-fault operator and an arrest warrant was applied for through Norwich Superior Court.
On February 12th, 2025, Griggs turned himself into Troop E - Montville for the arrest warrant related to this investigation:
Griggs was processed and charged with the following:
C.G.S. 14-222a - Negligent Homicide with a Motor Vehicle
C.G.S. 14-247a - Failure to Yield Right of Way
Griggs was released on a court set written promise to appear awaiting a court date of 02/27/2025 at Norwich Superior Court.
