On Thursday, 02/06/25, at approximately 6:20 AM, Jason Ivers (DOB 01/27/98), of Hartford, turned himself into Troop H- Hartford on the strength of an active arrest warrant. The arrest warrant for Ivers was issued in connection with a fatal motor vehicle accident on 2/8/2024 on I-84 in Manchester, where Ivers' passenger succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.
Ivers was arrested without incident and was processed on the following charges pursuant to the arrest warrant:
CGS 14-227a; Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs
CGS 53a-56(a)(1); Manslaughter 2nd Degree- Reckless Cause of Death
CGS 53a-56b; Manslaughter 2nd Degree with a Motor Vehicle
CGS 53a-155(a)(1); Tampering with Evidence
