On 07/12/2024, approximately 10:58 a.m., the Bethlehem Resident Trooper was contacted by the Bethlehem Animal Control Officer (ACO) regarding an incident in which a dog may have been neglected after boarding with the "Home Away From Home" kennel in Bethlehem.
After a thorough investigation, the Trooper submitted an arrest warrant application for Jennifer Ornelli's arrest, which was approved by Torrington Superior Court.
On 09/03/2024, at approximately 7:28 p.m., Ornelli turned herself in to the Troop L barracks in Litchfield on an active arrest warrant. Ornelli was processed and charged with the following violation:
C.G.S. 53a-247(a) - Cruelty to Animals
Following arrest processing, Ornelli was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment at Torrington Superior Court, on 09/18/2024.
