On Wednesday, 02/19/25, at approximately 1:00 PM, Eastern District Major Crimes Detectives, the Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East, and Troop F personnel located Timothy Lange (DOB 02/04/90), of New Britain, in Haddam and arrested him on the strength of an active arrest warrant. The warrant for Lange's arrest stems from an investigation that began in August 2021 in which Jason Comes (DOB 09/13/82), of Wilbraham, MA, was discovered deceased within a vehicle in a remote area on Durkee Road in Somers. The investigation determined Lange is a known member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Gang.
Homeland Security Investigations, the Enfield Police Department, and numerous other law enforcement agencies played crucial roles in assisting the Connecticut State Police with this investigation.
Lange was transported to Troop C- Tolland, where he was processed on the following charges pursuant to the arrest warrant:
CGS 53a-54c; Felony Murder
CGS 53a-92; Kidnapping First Degree
CGS 53a-48/53a-92; Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping First Degree
CGS 53a-8/53a-92; Accessory to Kidnapping First Degree
CGS 53a-134; Robbery First Degree
CGS 53a-48/53a-134; Conspiracy to Commit Robbery First Degree
CGS 53a-8/53a-134; Accessory to Robbery First Degree
Lange was held on a $1,500,000 court-set bond for the above listed charges and is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on 02/20/25. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
