On January 31, 2025, an Arrest Warrant for John T. Fairchild (DOB 04/06/1958) was submitted to Danbury Superior Court following a lengthy investigation into a fatal house fire from April 2024 in the Town of New Fairfield. The warrant was approved, charging Fairchild with Possession of Child Pornography in the Third Degree.
On February 04, 2025, at approximately 9:41 AM, Western District Major Crime Detectives located Fairchild, and placed him under arrest on the Active Arrest Warrant. Fairchild was transported to Troop A in Southbury for processing without incident.
Fairchild was charged with the following:
C.G.S. 53a-196f(a)(1) - Possession of Child Pornography in the Third Degree
Fairchild was held on a court set $10,000 bond, which he was unable to post. Fairchild was then transported to Bridgeport Correctional Center and is due to appear at Danbury Superior Court on 02/05/2025.
