At approximately 8:09 p.m. on November 6, 2024, the operator of a motor vehicle traveling on Interstate 95 northbound in Westbrook struck a State Police cruiser. The Trooper was seated in the front driver's seat of the cruiser and sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash; the Trooper was transported for treatment.
The operator of the vehicle that struck the cruiser was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, which the operator failed to perform to standard.. The operator was charged with operating under the influence and motor vehicle charges.
