Norwich Man Arrested for Narcotics Violations Following Residential Search Warrant in Norwich

On Friday, April 4, 2025, the Connecticut State Police Special Investigations Joint Task Force-East Office, Norwich Police Department and FBI New Haven Violent Crime Task Force, executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence in Norwich, CT. The search warrant was issued as part of an investigation into the sale of fentanyl being conducted by Princetafari VIDAL (02/01/1982) of the residence.
As a result of the search warrant the following evidence was located and seized:
Fentanyl packaged for sale
Crack cocaine packaged for sale
Psylocibin mushrooms packaged for sale
Items associated with the packaging and sale of illegal drugs
Stolen .45 caliber handgun with ammunition
Further investigation revealed Vidal is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.
Vidal was arrested without incident and transported to Troop E - Montville for processing. Vidal was charged with the following:
C.G.S. 21a-279 - Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 Counts)
C.G.S. 21a-277 - Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (3 Counts)
C.G.S. 21a-277(c) -Operating a Drug Factory
C.G.S. 53a-217 - Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition
C.G.S. 53a-125a - Larceny in the Fifth Degree
In addition, Vidal had an active re-arrest warrant, where he was charged with Failure to Appear in the first degree.
Vidal was held on a total of $800,000 bonds and appeared for arraignment at Norwich Superior Court on April 7, 2025.
