Stafford Man Arrested for Unlawful Discharge of Firearm; Risk of Injury to Minor

On Tuesday, 11/05/24 at approximately 1:15 PM, Stafford Officers and Troop C personnel arrested Christopher Joseph (DOB 09/17/76), of Stafford, on the strength of an active arrest warrant. The arrest warrant for Joseph stemmed from an investigation which began in April, following the report of a domestic canine having been shot in the face on Collette Rd West in Stafford. The investigation included service of a search and seizure warrant at Joseph's residence, which led to the discovery of multiple unsecured firearms within the home shared with minor children. Joseph was transported to Troop C, where he was processed on the following charges:

CGS 53-203; Illegal Discharge of a Firearm

CGS 53-21; Risk of Injury to a Minor (5 counts)

Joseph was later released from custody on a $50,000 court set bond and is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on 11/19/24. Please see the attached arrest warrant/criminal information summary.

The dog survived its injuries and has since been reunited with its owner, who is the neighbor.
