On Monday, 12/02/24, at approximately 8:10 PM, personnel from Troop D- Danielson were dispatched to the area of 100 Main St. in Danielson following reports of individuals exposing themselves outside of a business with children present inside. As Troopers were responding to the area, Troop D dispatch advised that the caller reported the group leaving the area heading toward Furnace St on foot. The caller provided a specific clothing description of one male who was observed exposing himself.
Responding Troopers located a male matching this description, who attempted to flee on foot. Troopers gave verbal commands for the male to stop, however the male initially refused to comply. The investigating Trooper advised the male that his failure to comply would result in the release of a CSP K9, at which point the male complied and was detained without further incident.
The male was positively identified as Elijahrae Blockson-Brown (DOB 11/05/2000), of Thompson. Further investigation on scene determined that Blockson-Brown was the only member of the group reported by the caller that had exposed himself. Furthermore, the caller reported observing Blockson-Brown outside of the business with his pants down and genitalia exposed, making lewd hand gestures. Blockson-Brown was exhibiting clear signs of intoxication on scene, to include stumbling and dropping his belongings when attempting to flee from Troopers.
Based upon the information learned on scene, Blockson-Brown was arrested without incident and transported to Troop D, where he was processed on the following charges:
CGS 53-21; Risk of Injury to a Minor
CGS 53a-167a; Interfering with an Officer/Resisting
CGS 53a-181; Breach of Peace 2nd Degree
CGS 53a-186; Public Indecency
Blockson-Brown was held on a $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear at Danielson Superior Court on 12/03/24. Please see the attached criminal information summary.
