Trooper Makes History in 120 Years of CT State Police

On September 22, 2023, the Connecticut State Police Motor Unit graduated a class of 12 operators consisting of eight Troopers and four municipal officers. This is the largest class of Troopers ever to graduate from State Police Motor School.

With the completion of this course, TFC Jillian Leca made history as the first female Trooper in 120 years of the CT State Police to become a member of the agency’s Motor Unit.

The motor unit class involved an intensive three-week training curriculum that is both physically and mentally demanding. Congratulations to the graduates!
