On Thursday, January 2, 2025, at approximately 9:45 AM, Gerard Arlonzo Hines (DOB: 09/18/2002), of New Britain, was transported by Judicial Marshals from Cheshire Correctional Center to Torrington Superior Court for an active arrest warrant to be served on him. The warrant for the arrest of Hines stemmed from a robbery investigation which commenced on January 9, 2024, in Bethlehem.
Hines was processed in the court's processing area and charged with the following violations pursuant to the arrest warrant:
C.G.S. 53a-61aa(a)(3 - Threatening 1st Degree- Displays/Represents Firearm
C.G.S. 53a-134 - Robbery 1st Degree
C.G.S. 53a-136a - Robbery Involving Occupied Motor Vehicle
Hines remained in custody on a $250,000 court-set bond for these charges and was scheduled for same day arraignment (01/02/2025) at Torrington Superior Court.
