Troopers to Increase Presence at Schools in Northwest Corner on Thursday

Connecticut State Police Troop B-North Canaan learned of a recent non-specific written threat in New Hartford. The threat was not directed toward any specific location within the town, however it referenced Thursday, December 19, 2024, as the date of the potential incident. Out of an abundance of caution and in cooperation with the Northwest Region 7 school district, the State Police plan to increase the presence of Troopers around local schools on Thursday. There is no known actual threat to the public at this time.
