On Monday, 11/04/24 at approximately 12:45 PM, Arashdeep Singh (DOB 03/26/2000), of Vernon, turned himself into Troop H- Hartford on the strength of an active arrest warrant. The warrant for Singh's arrest stemmed from an evading motor vehicle accident on I-91 in Rocky Hill on 10/27/24. Singh was identified as the operator of the vehicle after he had attempted to report the vehicle as stolen to the Vernon Police Department. Singh was processed for the following charges pursuant to the arrest warrant:
CGS 14-213b; Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle Without Minimum Insurance
CGS 14-215; Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under Suspension
CGS 14-224(b)(3); Evading Responsibility- Property Damage
CGS 14-236; Failure to Maintain Proper Lane- Limited Access Highway.
Singh was later released from custody on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear at New Britain Superior Court on 11/05/24. Please see the attached arrest warrant/criminal information summary.
