On Thursday, 10/31/24 at approximately 5:20 PM, Joaquim Pereira (DOB 04/18/55) turned himself into Troop H- Hartford on the strength of an active arrest warrant. The arrest warrant for Pereira stems from an incident which occurred on Route 5/15 northbound in Hartford on 08/10/24 in which Pereira was alleged to have displayed a firearm during a road rage incident. Pereira voluntarily surrendered his firearms and CT pistol permit during the course of this investigation.
Pereira was arrested without incident and processed on the following charges pursuant to the arrest warrant:
CGS 53a-61aa; Threatening 1st Degree with a Firearm
CGS 53a-63; Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree
CGS 53a-181; Breach of Peace 2nd Degree
Pereira was later released from custody on a $75,000 court set bond and is scheduled to appear at Hartford Superior Court on 11/18/24. Please see the attached arrest warrant and criminal information summary.
