On Thursday, 10/03/24 at approximately 9:35 AM, Kwitzpatrick Duffany (DOB 09/09/87) was arrested at Rockville Superior Court on the strength of two (2) separate felony arrest warrants.
#1: Troop C personnel were assigned to investigate a commercial burglary at a jewelry business in the town of Mansfield on 05/25/23. The investigation revealed a positive DNA hit for Duffany based upon articles left behind at the scene. Duffany was processed for the following charges:
CGS 53a-103; Burglary 3rd Degree
CGS 53a-115; Criminal Mischief 1st Degree
CGS 53a-108; Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree
Duffany was issued a $75,000 court set bond for this arrest.
#2: Troop C personnel were assigned to investigate a report of suspicious persons at a convenience store in the town of Ashford on 05/31/23. The investigation led to the discovery of a stolen firearm and a conspiracy to commit robbery at this business. Duffany was processed for the following charges:
CGS 53a-217; Criminal Possession of a Firearm
CGS 53a-212; Stealing a Firearm
CGS 53a-129d; Identity Theft 3rd Degree (5 counts)
CGS 53a-48/53a-134; Conspiracy to Commit Robbery 1st Degree
CGS 53a-206d(a); Carrying a Firearm Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs
CGS 29-38; Weapon in a Motor Vehicle
CGS 29-35; Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit
CGS 53a-49(a)(2)/53a-134; Attempted Robbery 1st Degree
Duffany was issued a $175,000 court set bond for this arrest and was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Judicial Marshalls for same day arraignment. Please see the attached arrest warrants.
